Intel N100/i226 pppoe performance with multi-gigabit WAN?

Thinking of returning to opnsense from a Draytek router I'm disappointed by.

Thinking of getting a Topton N100/i226 mini PC off Aliexpress but want to make sure it will handle 2.5G WAN using pppoe comfortably. Anyone out there doing something similar?

I should have 1G FTTH available later this year and also want some headroom for future speed increases. I previously ran a J3160 with a 330/50 connection that was OK but sold it for Draytek as it was getting a tad hot under load.

Does the N100/i226 combo fit the bill?
