Bill S-210 could locks up most of the Internet

This is serious. We’re just a few days away from Canada passing a bill that locks most of the Internet behind a mandatory age gate, including user platforms like Reddit, file sharing services, and even commercial marketplaces like Amazon and Shopify.

That’s because Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security (SECU) committee JUST started considering Bill S-210, and they’re the LAST stage before a third vote on at House of Commons on this still dangerously open-ended bill.

And here’s the thing; we’re hearing that if the vote happened today, Bill S-210 would pass.

Why? Well, some MPs think Bill S-210 targets only porn sites, not every site that allows user uploads. They’re wrong.

MANY more MPs either don’t understand what Bill S-210 actually does, or are afraid to speak up against anything that’s been claimed to protect kids, even though they know it’s bad legislation.

They need to hear from as many people as possible that Bill S-210 is NOT a reasonable or appropriate way to regulate our Internet, and people in Canada will NOT stand for it.
