Bard and lore bard specifically seems to becomes a initiative buffing machine at 5th lvl. But i need clarification on font of inspiration?

I just realized that bardic inspiration can be used for initiative(if your dm does not try to argue that no one can fail a initiative check) and now lasts 1 hour, meaning you can cast it on your low initiative party members at the start of a dungeon or suspicious sequence and most likely they will be able to use it even if the encounter is only at the end of it, and you can just expend some spell slots to quickly regain your bardic dice even during a battle cuz it costs no action, and lore bard gets to go further into that by nerfing 1 enemy initiative(again RAW seems to be clunky and allow for a asshole DM to argue otherwise).

My question tho is if font of inspiration does not give more bardic dice for each spellslot level? Cuz that seems like some bullshit if i am getting 1 bardic dice from a 3rd level spellslot. So if someone can clarify that i would be grateful.
