Is it wrong / bad / weird to visualize energy like how it is showed in media/ films and tv shows ?

I visualize energy like how it is described in pop culture media and films and tv shows. I know magic does not work the way media shows it but is it wrong to use media as inspiration to just visualization. I only use it just to visualize energy and I don't base rituals, concepts, laws off of media. So is it wrong ?
