Replay buffer goes way over maximum replay time

So i am recording counter strike 2 and it records well and everything except it starts recording and never stops. So when i press my replay button the videos are several minutes long or however long ago since i pressed my replay button instead of 30 sec?? why isnt my replay buffer trimming the videos?
