Who is on your Mount Rushmore of all-time Jets players?
Could be whoever the greatest franchise players were, could be who you feel most embodies or best represents the team, could just be your own personal favorite Jets players. Who's going on yours?
Mine is:
Darrelle Revis - In the convo for GOAT CB. Revis Island. Nuf said.
Curtis Martin - Absolute workhorse in an era of run-first offenses. Another HoF player and top 10ish all time RB.
Wayne Chrebet - First jersey I ever got, I played WR as a kid and looked up to this guy. Tough as nails and clutch.
Nick Mangold - Gotta give love to an absolute stud at one of the most important positions on offense. I think his presence was missed the most in the post-Rex Ryan & Todd Bowles eras.
BONUS: Who's on your anti-Mt. Rushmore? (Jets players you disliked, despised, wanted gone, can't be bothered with. There are probably actual scumbag dudes with criminal behavior that I'm missing here, but I don't have tje brain capacity to think of them all)
Dmitri Patterson - Literally went AWOL. Gave up on the team mid-season before giving up on teams mid season was cool
Vernon Gholston - One of the most hyped up edge players the Jets ever had, at a time when that was needed the most post-Jon Abraham. Never even recorded a sack. Sad.
Wayne Hunter - Dude had the tall task of replacing Damien Woody after their playoff runs, and completely failed to live up to it. Mr. Turnstile
Brett Favre - Started hot, tore his bicep, wouldn't sit out. Season tanks, he leaves for Minnesota and takes them to the NFCCG. Now he's known as a pervert, a predator (should be a sex offender), defrauded the poorest people of one of the poorest states to build a volleyball arena for his daughter's college vball team. Huge POS.
