Am i too slow

I was casually playing the game and finished flooded coast. When i looked at youtube gameplay i saw it in 3rd hour. I am in 13 hour 30 minutes. I did like maybe 10 side quests. Question is am i doing anything wrong. ( also i didnt found any pods )( i have 2 %8 move speed chip so i am extra fast ironicaly)(i rushed to fast travel upgrade so i didnt spend time when going between side quests) ( i died like 2 time so no overtrying bosses)
