Aliens Homeworld - The Tower Analysis

Spoilers for NieR:Automata & NieR Re[in]carnation ahead. This post is both facts and speculation/theory of mine.

The Tower is the final Machine Lifeforms weapon, a giant cannon aimed at the Moon. After Red Girl (sentient "being" born from Machine Lifeform Network) studied data from Quantum Server - Sleeping Beauty and learned about Project Gestalt, she decided to destroy the Lunar Server.

What is The Tower as an object? It is created by same materials as Copied City which is mostly crystalized Carbon and Silicon. Strangely, The Tower, similar to Copied City, is mostly a copy of already existing things, locations. Entrance to The Tower seems to be a copy of Cathedra interior from Drakengard 3. Most of early The Tower hallways look like some sort of Church, especially design on its walls. Well, it doesn't necessarily need to be a reference to Drakengard 3.

This information comes from World Chronology of Drag-on Dragoon: World Inside. Year 1549 - Francis Xavier (historically a missionary from Spain) brings the teachings of The Church to Asia, including Japan. In the "Rotten Info Sheet" archive, we can read that 550 years ago (from a 21st century perspective) the Schwanstein Castle was built. It was a home of a certain lord, known as Leonard III. The Castle was a fortress used against the battle with The Church. Considering this information was written in around the 2000s (I assume before [6.12] incident) it is strangely close to the year 1549 if we subtract 550.

More on that, in Forest Zone we can see ruins with exactly same design on walls as inside The Tower. Knowing that in a place where 1st Forest King lies are the ruins of construction that was supposed to be Cathedra, according to Automata Artbook concept art, it might be that The Tower is a copy of Forest Zone and Schwanstein Castle surroundings and not Cathderal City from DoD3.

This is only the beginning, since it's not even the main topic. NieR Re[in]carnation introduced us to the place known as The Cage. This place is full of stone towers, all sharing a similar specific design. The Cage is the Lunar Server. In the year ~5100 when Lunar Server was established, it was created with Gestalts DNA and Replicants Data. The Cage was also supposed to imitate the current state of the Earth, visually.

Why does The Cage look like this, if it is supposed to look like Earth? In 11946, just a year after Automata events, Her - the girl Administrator of Quantum Server fused with Red Girl. After this fusion, She decides to create Birdcage in a place where Quantum Server is located (Forest of Myth) and completely reconstruct Earth's environment. Strangely, the new environment is a never ending forest of white towers. Important info is that this environment is supposed to resemble Aliens Homeworld.

The path that connects Earth (Quantum Server, the Birdcage) and The Cage (Lunar Server) changes its visuals depending on how close to each server it is. When it's very close to Earth, it looks almost the same as certain parts of The Tower interior. If the new Earth environment is supposed to resemble Aliens Homeworld and it looks very similar to The Tower interior, that means The Tower always included Aliens Homeworld elements.

These strange towers that hang from the ceiling look very similar to The Cage towers, but upside down. Now that we know this all is supposed to be Aliens Homeworld, let's ask the final question. Why is it designed with The Church related stuff? Why would Aliens Homeworld include themes related to those who praised God?
