Microscopy equipment for chemical reaction art?
I’ve been fascinated with microscopy video art for a long time. I know it can be very involved and there are some talented people out there with done very expensive rigs.
For my day job, I’m a director of photography in advertising. I have some decent camera equipment. Whatz I would like to do is connect some of my expensive camera gear to a microscope and start dabbling with microscopic chemical reactions—basically the crazier visual shift the better. Then I can play with frame rates and false color, etc.
I just don’t know where to start fit the equipment. I don’t want to spend $2000 on a microscope just yet, but what should I consider knowing the stuff I’m into?
If there are already people doing similar things like, I’d also appreciate links to their social media pages so I can do more research that way.
Thank you!
