18/6 last 10 days of flower

I been at this for awhile. I've heard all sorts of tricks etc things like 24 hour darkness at end of flower. Dropping light schedule to 10 hours light 14 dark to mimic winter. Flush at end of flower. Use ice water in the last week to shock plants to make them produce more tricomes. I've tried these and not noticed much if any difference however recently I've heard this 18/6 lighting at end of flower last week to 10 days. The gist is do it on a plant your familiar with ie grown to harvest more than once. At the end of flower 7-10 days before the chop adjust your light back to a veg cycle. The premise is increased ppfd allows faster rate of growth more swell and a overall heavier harvest. The reveg issue is apparently no existing as it takes more than 10 days for a reveg to happen. I know that the stress induced would probably cause nanners but again there wouldn't be enough time for them to cause a problem. I'm hoping there's one or more people that use this method and could give me a insight to it. The extra lighting adds to running costs does the extra yield balance this out is it worth it? I am not trying to promote bro science or anything of the sort I'm genuinely curious to know more about this topic.
