Previous Skin Cancer Now Abnormal Lymph Node
I was diagnosed with skin cancer in the spring of 2024. I had a deep mole removed from the left side of my face and one lymph node removed on the same side in my neck. I had some discomfort on my left side that resulted in my having an ultrasound in the middle of December. Well turns out I have a abnormal lymph node on my right side that I'm now scheduled for a biopsy for.
"There is an abnormal lymph node in right level 5 (asymmetric cortical thickening/hilar effacement) measuring 2.9 x 0.7 x2.7 cm"
I'm curious to others experiences, has melanoma ever spread after removal? Have you been diagnosed with a different cancer since having melanoma?
I feel like my head is spinning and I just got through the skin cancer recently and I'm overwhelmed.
