Sharp pain in knee only when touched

So I’ve got this really sharp pain in my knee, just below my kneecap, but only when I press on the right spot. It’s a similar feeling to kneeling on a small Lego piece. If I’m not touching it I can’t feel anything at all.

I noticed it about a week ago when I was kneeling to look for something, I assumed I was kneeling on something but when I looked there was nothing there. I thought it would just go away on its own but the pain is just as bad as it was last week. I can’t kneel on that knee anymore.

Any idea what this could be? Is it worth seeing a doctor or would that just be dramatic?
