Does the Deserter Penalty Expire?

I've been playing Marvel Rivals alot and I love this game to death.

However, my game has been crashing every couple of matches for no apparent reason and I'm up to a 15-minute penalty just because the game decides to shut off mid-match randomly.

I never ever ever ever ever left a match prematurely. The only time it happened was when the game crashed on me.

I'm desperate to find an answer because as much as I love this game, I don't wanna invest hundreds of hours of time and dedication into a game that's just gonna eventually ban me for issues that are completely out of my control.
