"Steam is Damaged" error on new MBP w/ M1
[RESOLVED] Update:
Okay, so Steam is supposed to download .dmg files for people with Apple Silicon. However, it seems as if it downloaded incorrectly for me. You will need to not just delete the Steam App from your Applications folder, but ALSO the Steam folder in HD>users>yourname>Library>Application Support>Steam, and delete the folder.
Clear all downloads and files, and then re-install!

Hello everyone! I am seeking help on getting Steam to work on my MacBook Pro.
Every time I try and launch Steam, I get this message: “steam_osx” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash." I honestly have no idea what to do, and I'm hoping someone else may have a fix for this. Any suggestions?
I've already tried re-installing Steam, restarting my Mac, and I've updated to the most recent version of Big Sur, 11.0.1.
Thanks!
