What MacBook should I buy?

It’s happening. I’m buying an M4, and it’s going to be my first mac.

I would like to hear your opinion on how much power I will need.

I’m a designer, mainly UX, sometimes graphic design, possibly some 3D modeling, definitely some web design in the future.

I will use: figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Webflow, Rhinoceros, maybe some other Adobe apps.

Will possibly do some light video editing in the future.

Will possibly do some DJ-ing and music production in the future, as a hobby.

I would like to do some light gaming, but I don’t have high expectations, as I am not a gamer. But I do like playing older games from time to time, so I will probably try to use an emulator of some kind, in the future.

I don’t expect to work with gigabyte-sized files in Photoshop or Illustrator, but I do expect to have multiple smaller files open in each, plus a billion and a half tabs in Chrome(yes, I am one of those people).

I was thinking of a 14 inch M4 pro, 12 CPU cores and 16 GPU cores, 24 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD.

I am considering paying more for extra RAM.

What do you think?

The photo was for attention 😉
