Dual display

Hey everybody.

I own a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip, I predominantly use it for music production and I’m really happy with it. My only gripe, is that in a studio/desk situation, I’d love to just leave it charging with the lid down, connected to a dual display of monitors to enhance my workflow, but for the life of me I can’t seem to find a way to do it. I tried the single HDMI out, which just essentially mirrors the MacBook display and only gives me a single display option, I’ve tried a usb hub that has a HDMI out and attached two monitors that way…with no joy, only one display ever works. Could anybody shed some light on to this? Thanks
