Messy Bun Help !

When I was younger I had Super long hair down to my hips but then I cut it to a bob ! (Loved the bob just isn’t for me now)

But my hair is finally getting back to what i consider long hair to be, however i’m starting to remember how hard it is to do a messy bun with long hair can be. My hair is also on the thicker side so I can only tie a hair tie twice at the most.

Please help me with any tips that’ll make a messy bun for long thick hair easier and look cute. (also i’ve done the top knot bun and they always look too neat?)
