Birth rates

India's total fertility rate has fallen below the replacement level and has been declining steadily since 1950 where it was 6.2 . Soon it will fall even lower .This trend is going around the world where birth rates have collapsed dramatically. The solution is not banning birth control pills obviously as despite having health effects they do help some women .People aren't doing enough to ensure the survival of the human race. The ruling classes are largely to blame for this as they have created economic instability that disincentivised children for people . However we still had economic uncertainty in say the 1900s but population growth was booming back then .What changed now ?
