Never really applied myself to math, and now I lack a strong foundational knowledge and don’t know where to start.

So basically, there are holes in my knowledge of math. For example, on Khan Academy I can keep up right up to 6th grade math. Anything after that, I either have a vague knowledge of the topic or I’m completely clueless. I’ve forgotten the little I learnt during middle and high school, while also neglecting the areas I didn’t know. This was partially due to having severe math anxiety and also being a huge procrastinator.

So here I am, in college and terrible at every and any mathematical subject. I don’t even know where to start, it’s so overwhelming, you know? I’m torn between just covering the college subjects OR starting afresh and learning math all over again. But learning all over again would mean I wouldn’t be dedicating time towards studying for exams. But at the same time, I can’t effectively study for exams if I lack a foundational knowledge of math, and struggle to remember stuff like adding and subtracting positive/negative numbers, differentiation, power rule etc.

It’s all so confusing and I wish I took math more seriously. I can feel that I’m not completely hopeless at it, but there’s just so much to do and I don’t even know where to begin. It’s all too much.
