Nissan leaf 2016 SL battery warranty denied

Nissan leaf 2016 SL has 95k km and the battery is at 8 bars, the bms upgrade was done.

Jun 3 : Called Nissan Canada customer service and gave them the Vin number, they told me the battery is still under warranty until march 2024.

Jun 6 : dropped the car off at a nissan dealership, they inspected the battery and opened a techline with Nissan Canada to see if they could replace the battery under warranty.

July 5 : Nissan dealership called me back, they said that they couldn't do the replacement since the battery was no longer under warranty and they had a "Goodwill" offer for me : they would pay 10% of the battery replacement, Nissan Canada would pay 25% and I would have to cover the rest so 65%, considering the price for a new battery is 15k $ and more which is fucking ridiculous. They also recognise that the car had 8 bars and the battery health was pretty bad and I would probably start having issue soon (which is kinda odd to say).

The battery warranty for those models is 8 years and 160k km and according to the brochure, if it falls under 8 bars before the end, it should be restaured to atleast 9 bars of capacity.

the car clearly has all the requirements and should still be under warranty and they refuse to tell me why they refused it, they just said "the battery waranty is not valid".

I'm surprised that this happened, they usually do these replacement under warranty without any issues.

I'm kinda lost right now, what should I do next? Try to contact Nissan Canada and do a complaint?

Update July 13 : Got the call back from the dealership, they said there was a mixup because the car was american and someone thought the warranty was only 5 year. The warranty was approved, and they ordered the battery!
