BitLocker recovery key being constantly asked for?

I have an Inspiron 15 with all the most recent software updates but I have an issue. I use my computer practically every day, but for the last 4 or 5 days in a row now, it’s been asking for BitLocker recovery key on boot up? Google told me it was for encryption and such but it seems pretty damn excessive to ask for this every single time I open up my computer. Is this normal? I’m kind of annoyed with it at this point and might try to disable it if it keeps happening.

Other info (idk if it’s relevant): had an inflated battery, but removed and disposed of it. I’m still using my laptop, it’s just plugged in at all times and I haven’t had any issues with it coming disconnected, except for power outages twice ~2 months apart. It does not have an external hard drive or anything else plugged into it other than the power cord. I am the only one who uses this laptop, it doesn’t leave my house. System should be fully updated, I have antiviral software, don’t visit sketchy sites anyways, genuinely don’t know what could be continually prompting the encryption key to be asked for?
