Is the 23 Sorento hybrid mpg that bad??

I’ve seen some posts here and elsewhere that are dealing with some ugly mpg numbers in Sorento hybrids. I’m looking at buying a lightly used 23 Sorento hybrid EX but I’m worried that I’ll be stuck getting 24 mpg (I drive about 35 miles on the highway, 75mph to work).

What sort of mpg have folks been seeing longer term in the 23 Sorento hybrid?
