Question relating ISO GER to QWERTY US

Good day, i am currently thinking about buying myself a new keyboard, i am currently using a Keychron K3 ultra slim and would switch to a nuphy air96 v2 or halo96 v2. I am a bit worried that the switch from iso GER to QWERTY US will be tremendous and a long journey. I was thinking about switching the y and z key as well as making a makro for the special letters like öäüß. Has anyone gone through that same process? Can someone maybe give me some headsup?
