Upcoming Visit to Karachi

Hello everyone. I am visiting Karachi soon in December. I will be in the Block 1 and Gulistan-e-Johar areas mostly for my stay. Since I am a solo female traveling to karachi, I wanted to see what do I need to do to care for safety in the town? I was born and raised in Karachi, but am more foreign than local to the towns now. I will hire a rental car with driver to get around. Also, any must try food spots or things to do?
