Software engineering is worthless

I'm currently doing software engineering and few people just telling me that you have chosen the wrong field. Telling me that software Houses are shutting down. Is this real?? I don't know that are software Houses really shutting down.

Giving all the credits to AI. I'm offended now. I'm just in first semester and people telling me stuff like this
