How do i move to a new city?

I 21 m have lived in la my entire life and sometimes it feels like I need to get out. I don’t have any special skills or work or anything I’ve just worked general labor jobs and now I do uber. I heard stories abt ppl during like seventies and back then just touring America and finding different work and shelter as they go along. I know things have changed a lot since then but I swear I feel like I’ve heard stories even in current times of ppl moving to a new city and just scraping by until it works. Like that doesn’t make any sense to me tho cuz idk how I would support myself beyond a minimum wage job. Also doesn’t have to b a city. In fact I’d prolly Perfer sum more rural.
