Lighting options for this space?

Hello! I have this small hallway leading to a bathroom that gets very dark. The only plug nearby is on the bottom right of the photo, so a floor lamp would be in the way of the entrance to the bathroom.

I'm struggling to think of another lighting option, and don't want anything permanent since this is an apartment. Maybe some sort of plug-mounted light?
