Transferring Positions Between IB Entities

Hi, I have two IB accounts: IBKR LLC and IBSG (IB's Singapore branch). While fund transfers between these accounts are allowed, position transfers are not. The message displayed is: "Not allowed to transfer positions between different IB entities."

I am planning to transfer some positions from IBKR to IBSG and considering two options:

1. Account Transfer – Using the transfer account option to move the entire account.
2. Sell & Transfer – Selling the stocks and transferring the funds, though this may result in gains or losses depending on market conditions.

Has anyone tried this before? Are there any better alternatives? Thank you.
