a little quick comparison and review philips pro6105 and pro 6305
i usually have amazing experiences with philips audio products i own 2 of their open back headphones. The 6105s sound extremely balanced its a bit mid foward but no shrills the highs are perfectly balanced(for my taste they can be a bit louder but for $20 im pretty damn satisfied) they sound smooth and extend pretty nice and the subbass is perfectly controlled and not overly done. voices sound perfect on these, guitars off of pink floyds the wall are nicely pronounced and usually the bass on that album is loud but on these its perfect. 6105s were so good that i was excited to try the 6305s and to my surprise they weren’t as good. i thought the 12mm driver would produce better subbass to compliment the rest of the sound signature but all they did was increase the midbass by too much so much so that the wall sounds muddy. Lesson learned today was that tuning matters more than driver size and price.
