Going Out West for First Time: Challenge of West Coast Terrain vs East Coast
I'd call myself advanced skier, have been able to go down the toughest tree/ mogul/ ungroomed stuff at mountains like: MRG, Sugarbush, and Killington.
Certainly never the best / prettiest skier on the mountain, but I'd say "I can ski down any in bounds terrain in the northeast".
I'm going out West to (Big Sky + Ikon Mountains near Denver) for the first time, and am curious about how I'll fare + the challenges to expect.
Obviously expecting: more terrain and more snow, but my question is...
How does the tough stuff out West compare to the tough stuff in the East? Any new challenges I should be expecting? Any tips?
I'd appreciate any comments or thoughts here!
