Accidentally threw away a clients dressing/wound package
So this is my first post on reddit, I just wanted to come on here and ask for some advice. I clean houses part time and I have one client who tends to leave clutter everywhere. The bathroom particularly has everything pulled out of the cupboards and sprawled out over the counter which I’m expected to put away, as well as throw out any rubbish. I was cleaning the bathroom and was doing the usual routine, throwing away the random rubbish and putting everything back into the cupboards so I can get into actually cleaning the bathroom. There was a silver wrapper that was opened on the bathroom counter which I instinctively threw away. Later on the client contacts me to ask if I have seen it anywhere as it was a dressing. I know I’ve thrown it away and now I feel really anxious about how to respond. Will it be best for me to offer a replacement? It’s not something you would look at and think it was being actively used, i just thought it was an empty wrapper.
I’m feeling pretty bad about the ordeal and I’m just chasing advice on what you would do in this situation and how I should respond, also if I may need to address the clutter issue? Thank you :)
