Satanic Panic / Black Magic recommendations

I'm looking for short stories or novels that hit on either (or both) topics. I was a middle school kid during the Satanic Panic movement and it has always held an interest for me.

I find it very ironic because the effect was clearly the opposite of the desired outcome of fearing this stuff. The more they blamed Dungeon and Dragons, the more I purchased and so on. The more they flashed that Dio album cover in the news, the more I wanted to hear it. Such a goofy moment in time!

A good example of how off the rails this stuff can become is Devil's Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three. And this happened AFTER the main panic.

Anyhow, any good recommendations?
