F14 RIO

Me and my friend recently got the F14-B and he wants to be my RIO. How exactly does that work? How do we set it up? Does he join a multiplayer lobby with me and get an invite from me or something? How can me and him practice being pilot and RIO? What servers are good for things like that? Sorry if these questions seem basic but all the google answers where super vague and most of the YouTube videos explaining it skipped over the part where they got in the plane. Thanks for any responses!
