Lavender tea effects
I’ve recently started drinking lavender tea together with chamomille. I really enjoy the flavors.
I’ve been drinking it daily now for a week. Usually 1-2 servervings in the evening. I had no particular expectations, but it really makes me wind down and to my surprise I noticeably feel much more mentally relaxed during the day. I also feel like I sleep very deep (I’m quite a decent sleeper anyway, but I feel like I really sink deeper).
Is there any science around it? I usually do like 2g of each steeped in hot water per serving.
Also, I’ve read that lavender is an endocrine disruptor. I assume this is mainly a concern for developing young adults and not so much for (male) adults?
Very curious about similar experiences or perhaps someone has some knowledge about the science behind it and the appropriate max dosing.
