Off-Campus Housing

Hi so I’m an out of state student here at mason and I’m looking to get an apartment next fall with my boyfriend. Every place in Fairfax seems to be extremely expensive and well I’m a broke college student. For anyone who’s from around here or have an apartment now, any advice? any cheaper areas to look at? Any advice or tip will help!
