Demo before Steam next fest?

I applied for the steam next fest in a couple of months, but the demo of my game is already ready. Is it allowed to already have a demo up weeks or months before the steam next fest or does it need to be the 'first' public demo? If it is possible, does the next fest demo need to be different or can it be the one already running?
