Going the Fuji-way | After 10 Years Nikon
Wanted to get into photography again, and being away for approx. 3-4 Years I am very proud to announce that I'm officially switching to the X-Mount.
As for the Camera, my last Cam was a D850 and it was a delight, everything was perfect and in my opinion that was the last and absolutely best DSLR coming out of Japan, speaking of Performance and Price. Now that I have sold all my systems and only have my nifty 1.4, my 35mm 1.4 and my DC 135 lens over, I decided to switch to Fuji. No regrets so far!
So now the Question: how can a 12 year old Camera compete with an beast like the 850? Well, for some it may be not such a strong argument as for me but I love the form factor and the look of the camera(s), I come from shooting analog and I love to put some thought into my picture, yes you could say the 850 is superior in every way but man, I love to have the option to put my cam in my jacket pockets, strolling down streets with an small camera where, when you really care about the picture, you can and will achieve better pictures than with any modern flagship.
I that sense, I can't wait to build up my experience shooting and using the Fuji System.
For anyone using the X-pro1: what is the most fun lens you put on that beauty? I'd really love to try out some new vintage lenses on.(currently owning multiple Helios and topcor RE's)
