BOTTEGA VENETA: Reviewing 5 recently launched scents

I bought the discovery set. Firstly, i must disclose that I am a fragrance noob yet am highly discerning with my preferences. I can’t promise that I’ll be able to describe these fragrances to your satisfaction. However- I sample quite a few perfumes, and I dislike approximately all of them. They overstimulate me immediately and the lingering notes typically compel me to take a shower ASAP. But…. yall….. this set. I am obsessed. ADDICTED. I can barely find any reviews for them online- there are plenty, but they all focus on the bottle and only offer generalities on the scent itself. Even on this sub there are only a couple posts about this launch.

I tried all on a sample paper, only 1 on skin, and here are my thoughts:

Acqua Sale: Beautiful aquatic scent. It’s woody, minerally, and salty. It’s like camping on the beach and sitting on a nicely formed piece of driftwood . I’ll try this on myself, and I’ll put it on a man and sniff him too. this is probably my 2nd favorite.

Come with me: This is a sexy smell, but a bit cloying for me. Only a tiny bit though, I just don’t love vanilla-vetiver-leather type scents. It’s sweet on the top but it has this powdery musky smell which is almost chemical. It reminds me of cocaine drip. I’d be curious to try this on my skin, but suspect I’d be yearning for a shower pretty soon.

Alchemie: This smells like bug spray, but I don’t mean that in a bad way, like I feel protected from diseases. It is pretty ambery. I’ll try this on my skin.

Colpo Di Sole: This is my favorite so far and the only one I’ve applied to my bare skin. It’s very floral, it’s vanilla-y, and yet somehow on my skin it is nearly aquatic? It’s like the first swim of the summer and i’m the most beautiful skimpily dressed woman on the beach. This is actually insane because I usually hate vanilla amber musk situations, but this bottle has me thinking I might financially devastate myself to buy a bottle ($450USD). It smells even better on me than on the paper. i dare say this is my favorite perfume i’ve ever smelled. It reminds me of something, maybe like a celebrity perfume or victoria’s secret body spray or something.

Deja Minuit: My least favorite. I don’t like spicy vanilla type of scents and this doesn’t break that mold for me. Reminds me of my mean grandmother. I will not be applying this to my skin.

Sorry my descriptions suck! But I love this set. Ive never tried a set where I liked almost every scent. Let me know if you have any questions about this set and I’ll do my best to answer.
