Hero Selection

How do people play the same hero over and over again? I have 21 reps and that's across like 15 heroes. How do people play the same hero over and over again? Does it not get boring? I have to switch just about every 3 dom matches or I will go crazy. Is it just because I haven't found "my hero" or do other people feel the same?
