new here. what should I know?

My multimodal commute was disrupted earlier this week when by (nonfolding) bike was stolen from the train station during the day.

Inspired by a friend who simply said in response to hearing this that “the bike always stays with you,” I just bought a Dahon Mariner D7 off craigslist. It being the middle of the week, I’ve had almost no time to research. Here’s a photo of the new bike on the train. I’ve only done one short leg of the commute, but it seems great so far, but is there anything I should know as a complete newcomer to folding bikes, about this bike in particular, or in general?
