Story about a surreal experience I had in fo4

This is a long and kinda sad story but it was the most surreal experience I've had in any video game so I wanted to share it with this community...

In 2015, my lifelong best friend passed away in a car accident. We were living together and both in school pursueing a master's degree. The holiday's were really rough that year and I wanted to take my mind off of things so I decided to purchase a PS4 and Fo4. I hadn't owned a video game system since PS2 and hadn't played any previous fallout games, so this was my first. I instantly fell in love. The wasteland vibes really matched how I felt at that time and this game truly helped me get through some of the most difficult days I've experienced. Part of the reason I bought fo4 was because my friend who passed was really into New Vegas. A few weeks before his death he said if he were to start gaming again it would be for fo4.

Fast-forward to end of 2016 and hundreds of hours into the game and I was still running around the wasteland. I played all the DLC with the final being Nukaworld. The very last location I discovered in the game was a shack on the outer edge of the Nukaworld map. This location had an NPC named Evan, which is the same name as my friend who passed. After talking, the NPC handed me the nuka love recipe. My friend would sign all emails/letters with the quote "keep spreading the love". I couldn't believe what I was seeing and it seemed way too coincidental. I 100% believed that my friend was in the game for a moment. I then did some research and found that Bethesda put that NPC in for a fan that had also passed. I still kind of want to believe it was my best friend. In a weird way, it felt like some closure. Anyway, don't think anyone will make it through this post but never shared this with anyone so feels good to finally get it out.
