Did anyone else find fighting for the dam underwhelming when you’re siding with Yes Man?

My NCR-aligned courier had to wave upon wave of Legionares while making his way through the dam. With Yes Man I feel I faced comparatively little resistance. I guess the Legion and NCR had s as breast decimated each other a bit by the time I arrived?
