Anybody having difficulty with new first class medical?
Basically I plan to start flight training as soon as I complete my master's in May. Simply put, I've spent a lot of time in a field I hate and now have decided to actually look into things I actually want to do. However, before I get too invested in things I wanted to get my first class done just in case something went wrong. Thankfully, I'm pretty much passed.
I guess with the new year, there's a new color blindness test that the FAA has required, and as a result, the closest place that could do it is about 90 minutes away. It's not as if I'm from the middle of nowhere, I actually had to drive to a smaller city to get it completed. Essentially, the FAA idistributed something defunct (to my knowledge) to every place in the surrounding area, meaning I couldn't complete my examination, so I have to go back next week in order to finalize everything. I passed everything else perfectly fine and also passed a different color blindness test with ease. While I'm not nervous about it, it's just more so frustrating that whatever new regulation they want wasn't distributed properly in my area and I have to take another day just to complete another color blindness test. I guess this ended up as sort of a rant, but has this happened to anyone else? I know we're not even a month into the new year
