Stay Stong

I’m sure many fellow instructors and previous instructors have been through the pain. Unfortunately today was my tipping point. After multiple 40+ days on and no days off cycles with 2 to 3 off here and there in between.

After thousands of hours, I’ve never wanted to quit flying before.

Unfortunately I’m finding myself not even wanting to get close to an airport.

I love airplanes and flying them so god damn much, hell shooting multiple approaches last month in actual was the fucking highlight of 2024 for me.

I’ve lost friends and family to this path and I understand it’s reality. I immerse myself and my students in human factors everyday. Yet I find myself questioning whether I’m going home safely to my family and friends.

I believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy joining the birds above. Probably my biggest downfall.

Life is beautiful, and being able to fly while enjoying it is ever more beautiful. Please stay safe, be respectful of your other pilots (whether new or old) and PLEASE never stop teaching and loving each other. We are a small bunch of people on this floating rock.
