When, if ever, did understanding weather click?
I’m talking about understanding how current conditions will change in the recent future 6-24 hours away. As a student pilot, weather is my weakest area. Not like I’m not trying, but I’m always worried I’m missing/not understanding something big.
Big picture things like thunderstorms, fronts, different types of air masses, and weather products, I understand pretty well; but the complexity of how everything interacts with each other I still feel very unsure about.
And on a more specific note, how do you know if it’s going to get windier? I.e. take off for a local flight in calm winds, come into land 1-2 hours later and it’s now super gusty.
