LG Washing Machine taking forever to complete a wash cycle.

My LG washing machine has been taking forever to finish a cycle and often displays an error code of “IE”. Apparently this code indicates low pressure of the incoming water feed.

The water pressure is fine all the way up to the inlet on the back of the machine. There is no filter in the water inlet to clean out. I’ve had the top off the machine and can’t see any blockages in the pipes coming from the water feed inlet.

When the machine is filling with water, I can hear the water inlet opening and closing continuously like this: Ssshhh, ssshhh, ssshhh, ssshhh in short bursts instead of just one continuous stream like you would expect.

Have you any idea why the fault code keeps appearing and why wash cycles are taking 6-8 hours to complete?
