Training post csection
Hey everyone, I need some advice. I am 3.5 months pp from an emergency C-section and had a difficult pregnancy. The shortness of breath was almost instant, and it started before I even knew I was pregnant. I was in post op PT after labral and hip dysplasia repair, and just had too much fun last Christmas Eve, and well my daughter is here! I used to be an athlete, soccer, crossfit and Oly lifting, Army medic, and firefighter. Then my life turned upside down with my lupus diagnosis. Since 2019, I've had major injuries every year from herniated discs, broken bones, torn hip labrum, etc. So I became inactive from over active very quickly and have been for a long time. I really want to get back into fitness, but I'm scared to hurt myself after a C-section and many injuries. How would you start to get back into fitness if you were in my position? Ever since my lupus dx, I had to leave the FD and military, and have not been able to keep up my old lifting habits. That has made me overdo it in the gym then get depressed when I am out for a week afterwards. I want to do this right and healthy, I can't afford another injury. Any advice please?
TDLR: Years of inactivity from a previously very active lifestyle including crossfit, military, and fire department that was suddenly cut short due to many injuries and a lupus diagnosis. Need help with getting back into any kind of fitness the healthy and safe way. Thank you!
