NG+ MNK to SAM switch

So I've been running through NG+ as the "intended class" for each expac. Usually the one featured in the launch trailer. So WAR for ARR, DRG for HW, and MNK/SAM for SB. I'm doing this in prep for running EW as PLD (I already ran ShB as DRK for my first time through).

My question is at what point in SB MSQ does it make sense to switch from MNK to SAM? I was thinking shortly after it takes me to the far east or to Kugane but was wondering if anyone else had other points they think make more sense and why.
