What happens to overseas employees if we get DOGEd?

I just started a new position with the DoD in Europe about two and a half months ago, and like many I am sure, am very concerned about what happens and if my employment will be secure in the coming weeks and months seeing as I am in a probationary status and one of the ideas I’ve seen from DOGE is they’re going to axe everyone working for the feds who have been on less than a year.

Moving to take a DoD job overseas obviously comes with a lot of other things. Moving household, family travel, etc.

So…if all of the probationary members get DOGEd, how the heck does it work getting home and such when you’re overseas?
