Confused about FERS and when I am eligible to receive pension

Im 34 years old and started working at my current govt job 3 years ago. I would like to retire in 17 years at the age of 51. My question is do I have to wait until im 57 (minimum retirement age) to receive benefits or do I need to work until 57 to get the benefits? I have read about FERS on the OPM website but cant quite find the answer above.

https://www.opm.gov/retirement-center/fers-information/eligibility/ If you retire at the MRA with at least 10, but less than 30 years of service, your benefit will be reduced by 5 percent a year for each year you are under 62, unless you have 20 years of service and your benefit starts when you reach age 60 or later.
